The CFL has 4 departments: English Department, Japanese Department, Russian Department, and Department of College Foreign Language Teaching and Research with 7 specialties in English Education, English Language and Literature, English for Multilingual Students, Business Japanese, Japanese Language and Literature, Integrated Japanese, and Russian. The college confers Doctor Degree in English Language and Literature, and Mater Degrees in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Japanese Language and Literature, and English Language and Literature. It has a total enrollment of 899 students with 813 undergraduates, 107 postgraduates, and 2 doctoral candidates. The college has produced a large number of qualified professionals for the governmental organizations, foreign affairs offices, the PLA units, colleges and universities, research institutes, foreign trade firms, and foreign-funded enterprises. The statistics have shown that its employment rate accounts for over 88 percent.
