The Sixth Japan National Conditions Knowledge Competition was Held by Japanese Department of College of Foreign Languages
The sixth Japan National Conditions Knowledge Competition was held by Japanese Department of College of Foreign Languagesat 5:30pm on June 16, 2017 at the Lecture Hall of the Main Building on the seventh floor, aiming to stimulate the students’ interest of learning Japanese, strengthen their mastery of Japan national condition and enrich their college life. The Consul of the Japan Consulate in Shenyang, Hiroaki Shinohara, Deputy Dean of College of Foreign Languages,Quan Yongnan,and the faculties of Japanese department, including Professor Quan Yu,Dean Sun Xuemei, Secretary Jin Xiudong and many other teachers, attended the activity.
At the beginning of the contest, the rules were introduced by the Dean Sun Xuemei. After the fierce competition in the preliminary round, there were 17 contestants that successfully leaped into the semi-final round, where all the contestants were required to answer the questions and the first nine would go to the final. Following the semi-final was the Answer by the Audience part, which activated the atmosphere a lot. In the final, which included Required Question part, Optional Question part, Preemptive Answer part and Risk Answer part, the contestants were well performed and earned waves of applause. Finally, Liu Xiaomeng, the 2014 Starter Class Two student, won the first prize. At the end of the contest, Professor Quan Yu, Teacher Jin Zhengxiong, and Consul Hiroaki Shinohara delivered their conclusion speech, to encourage students to take an active part in this kind of contest. In the warm applause, the sixth Japan National Conditions Knowledge Competition came to a successful end.
The knowledge concerning the Japanese literature, history, geography and many other fields is tested in this contest, which can improve students’ comprehensive quality and strengthen their knowledge learning. What’s more, the holding of the contest plays an active part in creating a strong leaning atmosphere in campus and strengthening the construction of study style in our school.
