On December 25th 2016, the Foreign Language College held the 2016-2017 New Year Party at the theater of the second canteen. People attending the event included the School Union President Liu Mingzhu, the Director of the Woman’s Commission Jin Yin, the Vice President of School Union Qin Xianhong and all the faculty members of the Foreign Language College.
The secretary Zhao Liang and the president Zheng Xianri of the Foreign Language College both gave speeches. They reviewed the achievements of the past year on behalf of the leadership of the Foreign Language College, and showed their gratitude to all the faculty and teachers for their hard work and gave the New Year greetings to all the faculty teachers. President Zheng Xianri, Secretary Zhao Liang, Vice President QuanYongnan, and Vice President Cui Xuebo presented awards for the Advanced Collective of Union, as well as the Advanced Activists of Union and Advanced Cadre of Union.
The cultural performances alternated with games during the party. All the 180 faculty teachers gathered together and gave a lot of extraordinary performances including: dance fromthe College English Intermediate one, musical chairs, Christmas theme cosplay from the English Department, modern dance Shake It from the Japanese College, rope jumping and so on. The performance lasted for two hours and won warm applause from the audience and also showed the versatile characteristic of the Foreign Language College faculty members. The atmosphere of the party was warm, joyous and harmonious.
