The 2016 YBU “Jing Jin Bei”, Japanese Reading Contest was organized by the Foreign Language School and the Japanese department at the school’s Canteen at 5PM on November 23, 2016. The contest closed in the Lecture Hall of the Main Building on the seventh floor. In orther to improve student’s interest in Japanese learning, practice the communication inJapanese, cultivate the comprehensive use of Japanese, this reading contest was necessary.
The deputy secretary of Youth League Committee Lin Xuemei; deputy dean Quan Yongnan; head of Japanese Department Sun Xuemei; secretary Jin Xiudong; Chung A-young and Ito Chi, two foreign teachers; and some other Japanese teachers attended this activity. Fuzeyiyan, the president of the Jingjinzhushi company, and secretary Tengjingxiaoshi gave their strong support to the Japanese speech contest. They also came to our university from far to Japan as the judges and they offered prizes for the plays.
The finals were divided into a Japanese major group and a non-major group. The players of major group showed the excellent capacity for Japanese through prepared speech and impromptu speech. Non-major players also had their advantages. They had good preparation for their speech, and they also had amazing answers for teachers’ questions. Two groups showed wonderful performances on the stage. In the end, the first prize of the major and non-major groups was obtained by 2015 grade of Japanese Lu Yalin and 2016 grade news major Zheng Hong, respectively.
The vice dean of Foreign Language School in Yanbian University Quan Yongnan gifted the Thanks Cards to the Japanese company for their great support for the Japanese speech contest.
The speech contest not only provided students a stage to display and promote themselves, help them improve Japanese oral communicative ability and language expression ability, but also to apply their knowledge in real life and strengthen their exchange of learning and apply their knowledge in real life. It is sincerely hoped that more Japanese learners can enter for the contest and make great achievements in next year's speech contest.
