Fruitful Results in the Provincial Young English Teachers’ Contest

The intermediary stage of “SFLEP Cup” Jilin Province’s 11th Young College English Teachers’ Lecture Contest concluded at Jilin University on December 13. The contest, co-sponsored by Higher Education Division of Jilin Provincial Education Department, Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press and Jilin Province College Foreign Language Teaching Association, was divided into the preliminary stage and the intermediary stage, with five groups, and our CFL sent five English teachers to the contest. At the preliminary stage, five teachers had made full preparations for their lecture videos, and submitted them to the provincial organizing committee. In the integrated English group for non-English majors, Chu Changlin won the first prize and Li Hongying the third prize; in the English listening and speaking course group for non-English majors, Ji Mingli won the first prize and Liu Yujuan the second prize; in the integrated English group for English majors, Nan Meilan won the second prize. Meanwhile, Mr. Chu Changlin and Ms. Ji Mingli both entered the intermediary stage. At the intermediary stage, Ms. Ji Mingli won a special prize for the provincial English listening and speaking course group for non-English majors, and Mr. Chu Changlin won first prize in the provincial integrated English group for non-English majors. This contest has demonstrated our young English teachers’ English proficiency, teaching skills, and fruitful teaching achievements.
