New Semester’s English Department Student Meeting

English Department held a new semester’s student meeting at the West Building on September 23, 2015, in order to help English majors to learn more about the student , meet the new semester, and solve some problems of the 2015 freshmen. Those who attended the meeting included Mr. Jin Minghao, head of English Department, Party secretary Cui Yanji and Mr. Jin Chunxian, secretary of the CYL CFL Committee. Lu Xiaoyu, chairwoman of the department student , presided over the meeting. The department student cadres introduced their routine duties and the requirements for new members. Mr. Jin Minghao, Ms. Cui Yanji and Mr. Jin Chunxian interpreted the counselor’s work, the procedure for joining the Party, and the changes of TEM-4 and TEM-8. Then the teachers extended their Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to the students, who were deeply moved. Chen Zhuo, a student cadre in charge of publicity, introduced how to prevent AIDS and showed the students advertising videos. The student meeting was of great significance to the development of the English majors, their arrangements for the new semester and their understanding of the English Department and English learning. It also helped to promote exchange between teachers and students.
