The 2015 CFL Graduation Ceremony was held at our school’s Science and Technology Library on June 30, 2015. Those who attended the ceremony included the CFL Party and management chiefs, postgraduate supervisors, teachers, counselors, the 2015 graduates and some undergraduates. It was chaired by Li Guanghe, deputy chief of CFL’s General Office. The ceremony convened with the solemn national anthem. While the videos of the graduating students were shown, the audience were deeply impressed by their past college life. Cui Xuebo, deputy dean of CFL, gave an account of the 2015 graduates’ awards, postgraduate admission and scientific research projects. Zhang Zhen’ai, a supervisor of PhD candidates, announced a name list of 2015 Doctor Degree and Master Degree conferees, and heads of different departments, a name list of Bachelor’s Degree conferees. The leaders and supervisors conferred the degree certificates on the conferees and turned their tassels. Zhao Liang, Party secretary of CFL, and Li Dongzhe, head of Japanese language and literature discipline, announced the commendation decisions, and the leaders and supervisors conferred the certificates and awards on the conferees. Quan Yongnan, deputy dean of CFL, read the appointment of directors for the 2015 alumni councilperson and class liaison, and the leaders awarded the letters of appointment to these graduates. All the graduating students presented souvenirs to CFL to show their gratitude to the teachers for their four-year instruction. Wen Liting, the first to receive a doctorate of philosophy from the college, gave a speech, and Hao Ruibin, an English major and a member of the alumni council, made another speech on behalf of all the graduates. Jin Qiao, vice chairman of CFL Student Union and a representative of the current students, expressed their best wishes for the graduating students. Then Zheng Xianri, dean of CFL, delivered a speech. He reinterpreted the CFL motto “Virtue and Erudition; Diversity and Integration; Practice and Persistence” and expressed his wish for all the graduates. He hoped that they will keep on pursuing their goals, take an optimistic attitude towards the future and prove worthy of the expectations of society, their parents and their teachers. He believed that the 2015 graduates would follow the school motto “Truth, Virtue and Integration”, and add new glory to YBU.
